I admit it. I’m downright queer. So thanks for including Alan Cummings' short, it's-about-time piece on gay icons in your April 13th edition. Mr. Cummings' article, Judy, Barbra, Liza—And Little Edie: How the 'Grey' ladies, and their ilk, became ...

Aberrations Book Trailer

Small Press Bookwatch says Aberrations is ... deftly written ... very edgy ... engaging ... insightful ... and fascinating! 5 Stars!

"A marvelous and unique coming of age story, Penelope Przekop's Aberrations is the story of Angel Duet as she discovers who she is and how she can find the missing pieces of herself. It is a book about discovering who you are to yourself, and not what others want you to be, about accepting all the bits that make you who you are and about finding unconditional love, even if it isn't necessarily where you thought it would come from." 5 Stars! - from my bookshelf ...

NOTE TO ... Newsweek Magazine

I admit it. I’m downright queer.

So thanks for including Alan Cummings' short, it's-about-time piece on gay icons in your April 13th edition. Mr. Cummings' article, Judy, Barbra, Liza—And Little Edie: How the 'Grey' ladies, and their ilk, became the gays’ ladies, is amazingly aligned with the underlying message of Aberration Nation. His concluding statement hit the proverbial nail on the head:

“I would like to replace the word gay with queer when talking in broad terms about our collective exp… Continue

Wicked Gay: An Aberration Story

"Just because we are different does not mean we are worth less. It could be just the opposite."

Some people are born green, and I don't mean environmentally conscientious. I mean green as in strange, different, odd, deviant, and scary. Just like Elphaba. Well, maybe it's time we all took off those spectacles we so graciously accepted from the Wonderful Wizard of Oz who parented, molded, or preached to us. Who has really been to Oz, anyway? Who are these people who claim to know all the answers,… Continue

On Being Gay: An Aberration Story

"We are who we are, and the more people can accept that fact, the better the world will be."

Aberration Nation is not about world peace, going green, or gay pride. It's not about healing all the ills that exist in our growing culture of materialism and instant gratification. It's about individual self-reflection and optimism. It's making lemonade out of lemons and smiling through our tears, knowing tears are part of package, and that tomorrow is a new day filled with opportunity and greater wis… Continue

Welcome Penelope to The GCRM Media Club; I'm Patrick Yaeger (Patrickometry), the club founder. We are focused on finding and sharing quality GLBTQ media in support of the Gay Civil Rights Movement. There's a lot of excellent affirming content out there going unnoticed; this community was created to remedy that.

Community Guidelines:
1. Participate in and contribute to our community.
2. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
3. No sexually explicit (x-rated, pornographic, etc.) imagery.

Here's how you can contribute right away:
1. Add your own personal media related to the Gay Civil Rights Movement (videos, photos, music, podcasts, writing, etc.).
2. Join our Media Club Talk group and let us know what works and doesn't work here at our club. If you're interested in volunteering with The GCRM Media Club, the Media Club Talk group is where to begin.
3. Invite any friends and colleagues who might also appreciate our club's content and mission. Use the INVITE link above in the menu bar.

Here are a few important tips for your profile page:
1. Change your privacy settings. See MY PAGE | PRIVACY in the menu bar.
2. Set which email alerts you do not want to receive. See MY PAGE | EMAIL ALERTS.
3. Add the Twitter application (if you use Twitter). See MY PAGE | APPLICATIONS.
4. Add your personal blog's RSS feed. See the left-column RSS box.
5. Expand or finish filling out your profile information. See MY PAGE | EDIT PROFILE.

For more info, see our About menu, my blog posts on the club and the discussions in the Media Club Talk group.
